PAPDA- PLATEFORME HAITIENNE DE PLAIDOYER POUR UN DEVELOPPEMENT ALTERNATIF
(English- Haitian Platform to Promote an Alternative Development). It is a
progressive NGO based in Haiti fighting against the neo-liberal economic
policies
of imperialist countries.
Website: _www.papda.org_ (http://www.papda.org)
BO- BATAY OUVRIYE (WORKERS' STRUGGLE) is an Independent Workers Movement
created by the Haitian Workers themselves to fight for respect of their
rights,
economic rights, social rights, human rights, cultural rights, organizational
rights, and political rights and independence.
Website: _www.batayouvriye.org_ (http://www.batayouvriye.org)
There has been an International conspiracy and campaign - possibly financed
by capitalists interested in promoting neo-liberal policies to exploit
workers- to smear organizations and movements fighting against those
neo-liberal
policies in Haiti. For the past two years, Batay Ouvriye -considered a threat
to those policies-has been a constant target of provocation from a political
current that tacitly allied itself with those neo-liberal policies with the
purpose of breaking up the workers' movement in Haiti in the interests of
those
roaming capitalists.
Meanwhile, Batay Ouvriye is the only Independent Workers' Movement created
and controlled by workers throughout Haiti. Batay Ouvriye has a position on
Solidarity that is posted on its website which is that it will accept
financial
resources from anyone without any strings attached, without any conditions,
based on its autonomy and political independence. In other words, it does not
compromise on its political principles therefore cannot be bought off. Those
workers have proven themselves in the fire of struggles that they can hold
their heads up before the national and international capitalists. That is
primarily why they are under attack by the unscrupulous reactionary media and
individuals who have absolutely nothing to lose in destroying, smearing,
silencing and sabotaging the Workers' Movement in Haiti. If these mercenaries
get
their way, of course, the national and international capitalists will be very
happy with them. Again, if those mercenaries get their way, who will lose
everything they've been able to build and create for the past 15 years? Of
course, the Workers themselves. And that's exactly the objective of their
enemies
at present at every chance they get. However, they can PUFF, and they can
HUFF... those uncouth mercenaries are part of the filth that belongs in the
trashcan of history where they will remain forever and ever.
Fortunately, the Workers are determined to fight to the last drop to win
their rights no matter what.
