It is important to note that this is hemmoraigic (sp?) dengue, not the ordinary
one. The symptoms are a flu with a high fever, then followed by muscle pains in
the legs when the flu has broken. Mostly children have died here (DR) from it.
It is important NOT to take aspirin but rather acetominophen to reduce the
fever and keep fluids up. Odd but no one has mentioned a campaign to get
screens on the windows here. This mosquito feeds in the day time, not at night,
so bed nets are not effective.
