A few months ago, someone on this list advocated improving Teleco's land lines, claimed no country could develop without a good hardwired phone system. Sorry, but that is yesterday's logic.
That depends on how you look at things. For voice communications, cellular technology is perfectly adequate. However for eventual broadband telecommunications services (I'm talking 10 megabits per second, which is the minimum you'll get in Korea for example) you need to be wired. Preferably with fiber optics. Wireless technologies can't cut it. Cellular is good now. But for tomorrow? -- Philippe ------ The trouble with common sense is that it is so uncommon. <Anonymous>
