Hi Bob,

I must speak up for all those folks who have been on the list since the mid
90s and on WHILE living in Haiti. I for one joined the list in the mid 90s  (I
think it was 95) and I know many other people in Hait who got on  around the
same time or a short time thereafter.

Perhaps you meant to say that not a lot of folks living in Haiti were on  the
list until recently, as compared with the numbers who lived outside of
Haiti.

Michelle, thanks for the correction.  I guess I just wasn't aware that 
folks in Haiti had e-mail access that early.  I know it's only been in
recent years, especially when several cyber cafes opened in Haiti, that
I began to notice a goodly number of notes (by both Haitians and 
non-Haitians) coming out of Haiti itself.

I stand corrected and appreciate that information.
