I will list a few that are honest organizations that are really doing what they say they are doing...if you're looking to point people to the right direction for donations...

HELP-Haitian Education Leadership Program ( I think you can google for information, they have U.S. support org). They give scholarships to the smartest kids who have no means to further their education and are coming out of the public school system. They have a 100percent success rate, the kids graduate and get great paying jobs. The org is a bit more than 5 years old. The first to receive a loan is a doctor now. Have a office with computers for the students to do homework in PAP. They're great. All the donations go directly to the scholarships. U.S. org support in NY

FONKOZE-microcredit loan program. also now has a program working with the poorest of the poor...the most hopeless with intense training, support, and giving assets, pregnant goats, or chickens... monitoring
food security, and LOTS of support for 18 months...to move them to be able to get loans from fonkoze, a program which loans money to
thousands of market women throught coutry. Fonkoze also has 30 branches of community banks. (Have a U.S. support org in WashingtonDC)

FOKAL-Foundation for knowledge and liberty, believes in nurturing thinking through expression...supports 35 community libraries countrywide, has a culture support programs supporting, art exhibitions, poetry theatre film programs, also has a water delivery program. U.S. Support org in NYC

Partners in Health-Paul Farmer's clinic in Cange...rural health delivery clinic with at least 5 branches in central haiti...does remarkable work, treats AIDS, read Tracey Kidder's Mountains Behind Mountains US support in Boston

If you gave money to any of these organizations it would not go to waste.
