If you have been in the SE area of the U.S., you have seen kudzu growing
everywhere.
It is an incredibly fast growing and hardy plant inported from Asia.  It has
since outgrown its welcome there, but in Haiti the situation is desperate.
I know that kudzu would grow well there and quickly act to preserve the
topsoil.  It would provide many other benefits as well.  I can't be the
first to think of this.
Have you ever heard anyone mention the idea of growing kudzu in Haiti?
It grows so quickly in the most difficult of conditions, folks often joke
you have to shut your windows at night to keep the kudzu out.  Only cold
will curb its growth.
