Development (ICD).

America/Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East.
WORK FOR DEVELOPMENT IN HAITI AND DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Human Rights Advocacy Trainer - Dominican Republic
The trainer will work within a network of NGO’s working on issues affecting
the Dominican-Haitians minority population. S/he will advise the network
on strategies aimed at influencing current government policies in relation
to the Dominican-Haitian population, and support their aim to play a more
pro-active role within civil society.
Based in Santo Domingo you should be experienced in advocacy for human
rights and have an understanding of issues affecting ethnic minority rights
and migrants. Some knowledge of either French or Spanish is desirable.

Community Health Worker - Haiti
Utilise your skills towards promoting third world development!
Working with the Mare Rouge Health Centre in the rural north west region,
you will train and supervise primary health care workers. Holding a formal
qualification in nursing, community health or health education you will
have proven experience in the research planning and delivery of PHC
programmes and some exposure to health work in challenging conditions.
Some knowledge of French is very desirable.

Sustainable Agricultural Trainer - Haiti
An agriculturalist is wanted to work with local farmers to promote
sustainable agricultural methods with the aim of improving local ecological
situation. The farmers (mostly women) are members of a collective which
seeks to maximise the effectiveness of small farmers through the
organisation and coordination of their activities. You should be a trained
agronomist who is experienced in sustainable agriculture and biological
techniques. Some training experience either in formal or informal settings
is important and a knowledge of French or Creole would be advantageous.
