Have you considered contacting FONKOZE, the community development bank of 
the poor. You can easily wire-transfer money ahead of time into a new 
account and then withdraw it in Port au Prince, Ou Kap, Ou Kay or other 
numerous branches throughout the country as needed. You can then decide 
whether to close the account when you leave or, as I do, leave money in it 
for your next trip. It helps their cash flow figures and alleviates the need 
to walk around with large sums of cash.
