There is a very good anthropological study called "Medicine and Morality in
Haiti"  by Paul Brodwin, I think it is from Cambridge University Press.
 At the Imprimerie Laphalange, on rue Pavee which sells Catholic
publications in Creole you can find a translation of the book "Where there
is no doctor"  "Kote ki pa gen doktč".
