6924: Slavin: On 7 Feb. and Constitution (fwd)
From: pslavin@unicefusa.org
On Richard Morse's point on Article 7 (was that it?), sounds like a fine speech
case for the Supreme Court to interpret -- the right of freedom of speech
(clearly guaranteed in the constitution) and a constitutional article banning
political cult of personality portraits.
To quote Shakespeare and Petite Pierre, tomorrow, 7 February, is indeed –– A
New Day. How, what's the word, refreshing it would be to have a President and a
Prime Minister's Government that would use the constitution as a road map of
governance -- or in the words of the Rev. Antoine Adrien and the late Antoine
Izmery, to Honor and Defend the Constitution.
