KONSTITISYON REPIBLIK D AYITI 1987. POL DEJAN METE AN KREYOL AK KONKOU IV
DEJAN. POTOPRENS, AYITI ME 1987 (Port-au-Prince/Montreal: Editions
Zemes/CIDHICA, 1989). ISBN 2-920862-43-X. Pp. 113.

Prior to the Dejeans' translation of the 1987 Constitution, "Haiti Libérée",
formerly "Le Nouveau Monde" (an unofficial government newspaper) has
simultaneously published both French and Creole versions. Le Moniteur, the
official government publication has done the same thing a few days before. The
Ministère de l'Information has also printed and distributed, free of charge,
the text in French and Creole. Anyone was able to pick up a copy at any
government building, bookstore and big supermarkets. This was an attempt made
by the government to publicize the new Constitution.
