This may be a one day event of interest to some of you living near to the
New York area. Adelphi University (www.adelphi.edu) is easily reachable
through the Long Island Rail Road, stopping at the Nassau BLVD station.

Michelle Wucker, a senior fellow at the New School University's World Policy
Institute in New York City, is a journalist and expert on Latin America,
immigration and global financial issues. She is the author of the acclaim
book Why The Cocks Fight: Dominicans, Haitians and the Struggle for
Hispanola (Hill and Wang, 1999) and of Latin American Health and Care
Reform: a Guide to the Era of Market Opening (Latin American Information
Services, 1998). A graduate of Rice University and of Columbia University's
School of International and Public Affaris, Michelle Wucker has written for
many U.S. and Latin American publications, including Newsday, American
Economia, Tikkun Civilization, The Washington Post, International Financing
Review, and Intellectual Capital. Com.
