Aha!

There are mushrooms being grown in Haiti for export! I suspected this when I
read about them being grown in manure, because the only kind of mushrooms I
see Haitians using sprout naturally from dead tree roots.  This sounds like
a very good business, grown from locally available resources, the only
byproduct is fertilizer, and the U.S. retail is $1-2/quart.
