In the spirit of Karolin's message yesterday: What if all the 500,000
Diasporans vowed to drink only fair traded Haitian coffee everyday? That's
alot of coffee and could make a difference. The price of Haitian coffee on
the regular New York market is now below the cost of growing it and getting
it ready for export. So its got to be fair traded. And some enterprising
Diasporans could make a little money, nothing wrong in that. Oxfam UK is
helping export fair traded coffee from Haiti today. I don't have their
address for that, but instead contact Liam Brody, Fair Trade Campaign,
Oxfam-America in Boston, USA. He will help anyone.
