   Because this message came on the list and not
private, I suppose we are permitted to respond
on-list.
   I personally do not believe that a political
compromise is possible betweem Lavalas and the
Convergence. Additionally, I do not believe that a
political compromise is even called-for  between
Lavalas and the Convergence. Lavalas is the ruling
party, elected by the majority of normal Haitians. The
Convergence is a tiny group of malcontents with a
negligible following. To even consider the possibility
of a "political compromise" between these two groups
would not be too different than considering a
political compromise between  miolitant Islam and the
Salvation Army! The ONLY solution is for the tiny and
negligible minority to "get on the bandwagon" and work
with the majority for peace and tranquility. When
peace and tranquility arrive in Haiti, we might then
expect some humane and positive improvement.
   That's what I think!
