Married: April 12, 1947
Spider was quite a wit and wrote the "history of the proceedings" below:
Bride's Maiden Name: Harriette C. Thomson - Holy Rosary Parish - Graduate of Rosati Kain High School - Entered WAAC shortly after groom entered AAF causing, groom to doubt her sanity. Was dis¬charged a month after groom, married him, thus -removing all doubt as to her sanity. Ceremony was performed on Saturday, April 12, 1947, at Holy Rosary Church, at 3:30 P.M. Wedding was, a quiet affair, with only bridesmaid, best man, and priest present at the altar, (and the bride and groom, of course) (tee hee) Atmosphere was tense - the bride was nervous, the groom calm, and the priest COLLECTED (haw!) couple now living with the groom's brother, Bob, at 1223 Childress Ave., St. Louis, 10, Mo. Questions will be answered after groom returns from lunch.

The man who said “I’ll never slip” -- slid
The man who swore by the stars above
That in his life was just one love
And that was beer, has changed his tune
Perhaps because of too much moon (shine?)
At any rate, I'm trying to say
That on April 12th, a Saturday,
A married man, I did become
Which proves my point that girls are dumb.
