#254: Sitirans (fwd)
From: merrie archer <firstname.lastname@example.org>
I hope that you and Corbettland folks might be able to help me out. I
am absolutely stumped by
what a good (and brief) translation might be for the Creole term "sitirans".
My understanding is that it goes way beyond the concept of tolerance to
the point that it could be
construed as constituting support or even encouragement for the actions
or bad behavior of another
person. I have heard the term most often used to describe a parent's
attitude toward a spoiled or unruly child.
I appreciate your help.
