I AGREE with Daniel: 
the Haitian teachers are just as deserving of sympathy as their students, and 
seem just as confused -- unlike my own children's teachers in the NYC public 
schools, who are highly unconfused but can't always spell English properly or 
use proper English grammar, and it's their first and only language. 
I was really commenting on the system or lack of system in Haiti...
