#748: Bauduy and Norton, from Slavin (fwd)

From: Patrick Slavin <pslavin@unicefusa.org>

Too bad you're going on holiday soon Bob because it is time round up the usual
suspects –– on both sides of the "press conspiracy" and "press professionals"
scrum.

On the calls from armchair voices for reporters to "get to the countryside, to
the streets to find out what is really going on in the country," let this
armchair-er say that it's interesting to note that this was the mantra of US
Embassy officials and Duvalierists during the run-up to the 1990 elections. And
if Jennifer Bauduy and Michael Norton's copy are getting rises from the subjects
they're covering, they must be doing their jobs well.

Now John when you're in Haiti, is Juna your beverage of choice?
