#911: Where to get Creole novels? Bell replies

From: Madison Bell <mbell@goucher.edu>

La Fanmi Bon Plezi sounds like the logical next step. A novel in Kreyol
written by a woman whose name regrettably escapes me, available from
Educaforum in Miami, one of whose contacts is listmember Fequiere Vilsaint.
It comes with companion cassettes, very useful for the language student (I
believe it was produced as a radio play)-- it's also a good novel which
shows a lot of nuances to Haitian culture especially in the diaspora. For
me it's been an ideal intermediate Kreyol text. I'd be interested in
learning more about others on the market.
