Bob Shacochis' "The Immaculate Invasion" has been nominated for The New 
Yorker Book Award in the "Best Nonfiction 1999" category. This is the only 
literary award -- the New Yorker's first -- that lets readers decide the 
winners. You can vote at www.newyorker.com; current issues of the weekly 
magazine have ballots, as well. The deadline is Jan. 14. Entries qualify for 
a drawing to win a trip to Wales in May to attend the London "Sunday Times" 
Hay-on-Wye  Festival of Literature (the biggest in the world).
