#3466R: US invasion: Grey replies to Chamberlain

From:Racine125@aol.com

<< Come off it, Kathy. LOL, ROTFL etc. Never mind about the Nazis, an
invasion is when a bunch of people burst into your country, home or
whatever without invitation. The generals were threatened and forced to
issue an invitation to the US military, so it wasn't a proper invitation.>>

RIGHT! But the Multi-National Forces were INVITED TO COME TO HAITI BY THE
LEGITIMATE GOVERNMENT OF HAITI. Not by "the generals", who since they had
already mutinied against the Chief of State weren't even legitimate generals
anymore, and who as members of the *military* had no *executive* or
*legislative* role anyway. LOL!

<< A couple of months earlier, the US obtained a mandate from the US
Security
 Council to invade Haiti.>>

The United Nations *intervened* in Haiti at the request of the elected
government of Haiti.

<< The "Togolais and Bangladeshis and Italians and Nigerians" came afterwards
as window-dressing, a routine trick by any serious imperialist nation.>>

Not so at all. The members of other nationalities outnumbered Americans in
the UN Mission to Haiti, and their contributions were much more than "window
dressing".

Peace and love,
