#4112: Election 2000 : Albert comments
From: Sabine Albert <firstname.lastname@example.org>
On the Elections.
It is apparent to all that Lavalas would have been
victorious in the present election. Only a fool would
underestimate Jean Bertrand Aristide's popularity and
the capacity he has to influence the masses.
It is disconcerting that with Lavalas being very
popular, opposition candidates were intimidated and
harmed in some instances. Voting ballots were thrown
in the streets and most wrongdoings were to the
benefit of Lavalas.
The party's leader waited until the 13th hour to
publicly call for a non violent election.
We've just went through a grim forecast of things to
come during election.
