I just bought a cellular telephone in the Miami area. Before going to 
Miami I called a Haitian company here in Port-au-Prince and the woman, 
who was so sweet, informed me that it would cost about US$700.00.
The one I got in Miami cost 2 pennies. Thats right 2 cents. Two 
Lincolns. I signed a contract for a $35 monthly rate which gives me 240 
minutes local and long distance. I could have gotten a fifteen dollar 
contract.
Something is wrong here.
I'm hoping that shortly the Haitian population will have phones. They 
can surely afford it at 2 cents.
