Eloi to join Derby County on trial

MONACO, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Monaco striker Wagneau Eloi is to join English 
premier league side Derby County on trial, officials of the
French champions said on Tuesday.

Eloi, a 27-year-old native of Haiti, joined Monaco from RC Lens
in 1999. He has been unable to hold down a starting place despite Monaco's 
poor form this season.

Wagneau Eloi was born 9/11/73 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He has
French nationality. He made his French First Division debut for Lens at
Marseille on 24/07/93. He played for AS Nancy in 1997/1998, and again for
Lens 1997/98 and 1998/99. In the 1998/99 season he only made 5 appearances 
and scored 1 goal. He then joined Monaco, but played only 9 games during 
last season's title-winning campaign.
