For those interested in Haitian art, I just discovered Dominique Carrié's relatively
new website, Carrié Art Collection.  This website features a number of prominent
Haitian artists, including our family's own Ralph Allen.  :-)  Though the website is
under development and currently features only paintings, it will also feature metal
works, works on paper, sculptures, and Voodoo flags.   You will also find artists'
biographies, interviews, lists of exhibits, etc.

Mr. Dessalines is originally from the Artibonite region of Haiti. His exceptional

graduated from "The National School for the Arts" where he learned from such
illustrious professors as Frank Louissaint and Dieudonne Cedor. He received a
scholarship to pursue his training in Martinique where he currently studies and
resides. He has participated in numerous expositions in Haiti, The USA and in 
Martinique. Harold Dessalines is one of the up and coming stars of the
Internationally renowned Haitian Art Movement.
