8769: More on Aristide's "aims" as stated in Cuba

From: NLaleau@aol.com

Dear Jean,

I resonate with the hope to get out of misery and into simple poverty...
and
hope you won't criticize that as a lowly ambition for Haiti. Of course we
want more... but even making that step is a huge leap. You are probably
Haitian, you have probably seen the misery. Once people make that first
step
into "simple poverty," there will be no end to their aspirations... but
the
first step is urgently necessary. People who are so desperate for survival
cannot even hope for anything better than survival. People who are
surviving
have the opportunity to make "the revolution of rising expectations."
