Several journalists in Thiotte, in the southeast of the country, denounce
the pressure they are receiving from local authorities and people's
organizations close to the government. Journalist Fedner Confident, of Radio Sacre-Coeur, who is also the correspondent of both Port-au-Prince Radio Ginen and Jacmel Radio Express Continental in the area, has received death threats because he has denounced irregularities and corruptions in the commune of Thiotte.

          Thiotte - Les journalistes de la région ont dénoncé des menaces qui les empêchent de remplir leur mission. Selon Confidence Edner, journaliste à Radio Sacré-Coeur et correspondant de Radio Ginen à Thiotte, les pressions dont ils sont l'objet viennent en droite ligne des autorités locales et de membres d'OP Lavalas mécontentes de certaines informations publiées sur la corruption qui règne au sein de l'administration publique.
