Charles, I do not know Guy Delva nor his politics.  I did not mention his
name in my post.  I am merely saying that this is not a simple case of
freedom of the press.  He may be an honorable man, I have no idea.  But there
are those journalists who are paid to write lies and half-truths for the
purpose of getting rid of the government in place.  The people are afraid of
another coup........they know one way to stop it: by using the violence that
has always been used against them.  I do not condone it, but I sure
understand it.  They want to believe that they can prevent another coup.  (If
it were a matter of Haitians against Haitians they might have a chance, but
the minority has help from the US.)  When dissent means expressing opinions
critical of the government for the purpose of persuasion, then freedom of the
press should be absolute.  When dissent means the prelude to a bloody coup,
then, as you can imagine, that freedom suffers.  With freedom comes
responsibility.
