Immigration Information for Henry and Louisa Pahl and their children, Henry, August, Wilhelm, Christian and and Dorothea of Hannover, Germany:
Henry and Louisa Pahl, immigrants from Hannover, Germany were recorded with their five children on the New Orleans Louisiana Passenger List (below) for the ship Auguste which departed the Port of Bremen in Germany and arrived at the Port of New Orleans on 2 May 1853.
The family is listed (exception: the Baby Dorothy) on the 1860 U.S. Federal Census for the City of St. Louis, Missouri where the family settled and raised their families. Therefore there still remains the question as to why their destination was listed as Wisconsin. Was there family living in Wisconsin that they were to join?

Below is a portion of the last page of the actual 1853 Auguste passenger list with a final, handwritten, note by the captain; Th. Ludering
NOTE: It is possible that Baby Dorothy Pahl was one of the two baby's who died on the voyage, though we have no actual proof or record of that fact.
