Dr Joyce Apsel spoke at a United Nations DPI/NGO briefing in New York in February 2017. The topic of the briefing was ‘Creating Cultures of Peace: Art, Music and Peace Museums’. Joyce spoke about peace museums and their role in creating cultures of peace. She talked about the use of peace symbols and also showed examples of different kinds of peace museums from around the world. She also mentioned involvement with the International Network of Peace Museums and the upcoming 9th INMP Conference in Belfast.
