Peace and Conflict Exam I Study Guide
Exam will cover Chapters 1 - 6 of PoP, Chapters 1 - 3 of CWIC, additional assigned readings, and other materials discussed in class.
You should be able to:

- Discuss the relationship between peace and economic/social development
- Discuss the factors associated with early intervention
- Define conflict resolution
- Discuss the role of diplomacy in conflict resolution
- Discuss the importance of cultural awareness (both one's own and awareness of other's) in peacekeeping
- Describe training associated with building cultural awareness as described in your text
- Discuss the role of negotiation in the context of international conflict
- Explain the impact of psychosocial numbing on individual's and group's motivations towards assisting those in need
