In-Class Assignment - Frequency Table and Graphs

Your worksite has instituted a new wellness program. As part of the plan for future evaluation of the effectiveness of the program, data is collected on a variety of health measures. These data will be collected every three months for the next two years. One measure used is that of employees cholesterol levels. Initial data for 60 employees is listed below.

• Step 1: Find the highest and the lowest scores

• Step 2: Put your data into an array - arrange scores from highest to lowest

• Step 3: Evaluate you data - are there any clusters of scores, and are there any gaps in the data

• Step 4: Create your intervals - try to pick intervals that will highlight your clusters/gaps
  Remember that your intervals must be equal and non-overlapping.
  Your interval do NOT need to begin or end with your highest/lowest scores

  Provide a rationale for the intervals you selected.

• Step 5: Construct a frequency table for this data
  include, intervals, frequency, relative frequency, and cumulative relative frequency.

• Step 6: Construct a histogram and frequency polygon for these data.
