#211: airlines to Haiti (fwd)
From:dlyall@cruzio.com
>During the 1980's there were 3 U.S. airlines serving Haiti. American,
>Eastern, & Pan Am. Eastern & Pan Am went bankrupt leaving American with
>a monopoly position as the only U.S. carrier with a full network of
>flights across North America.
>Currently United airlines is code-sharing flights with ALM. Air France
>flys from Miami and Air Canada from Montreal.
>American Airlines has 90% of the flights in the Caribbean. Delta has
>started flights to the Caribbean from there Atlanta hub, but not service
>to Haiti.
The papers in PauP are advertizing Air Haiti again. They are supposed to
be chartering service from TWA, then booking them as Air Haiti. I don't
know if they provide service from Miami or just New York.
