#463: Haitians in Cuba:Michel responds to Fournier (fwd)

From: Serge Michel <haiticon@compusnet.com>

I interviewed, last year, a singing group called Desandann which
performed in Washington and possibly other cities in the US. They sing
haitian traditional songs with congas and are very creative. The choir
director is a lady, 3rd generation native haitian-cuban. Her
grand-mother lived in Les Cayes. She probably has a master's in music.
The other members of the group were younger. They speak Haitian Creole
with heavy Spanish accent.
