#1405: Jacmel Flights Query: Bollendorf replies

From: Bill Bollendorf <macondo@telerama.com>

Jack Alvord refers to the Pension Craft in Jacmel; the Grande Madame of the
place was the sister of Eric Danies, Adele ( or was it Adelaide?). Jacmel,
before the road, was a place of magicical realism. Jack, did you ever sit
with Geoffrois, the Swiss chess expert, at the little blue tables of the
Boutique Edith on the main street and watch the endless parade of surreal
characters file by? Remember La Ruine and vodou at Madame Nerva's? I wonder
if you know that Max McRay passed away two years ago BB
