#3016: Moringa, or Benzolive tree (fwd)
Village,
In the Monday, March 27 issue of the Los
Angeles Times there is a good article on the
Moringa tree. It says that Haiti knows it as
the Benzolive tree.
All kinds of miracles are ascribed to this
tree, which remains largely unknown, altho
the Rotary club development group does
know of it.
They say that it grows to from a seed or cutting
to 15 feet in a year and has a deep tap root
to survive in desert environments. The seed pod
is high in protein and vitamins and the leaf
when powdered is a better water purifier than
alum.
Who knows the Benzolive tree in Hayti?
