IF YOU GO:
The new 79th Street Creole Market & Cultural Center, 130 NE 79th St. in
Little Haiti opens at 10 a.m. July 29.
Festivities July 29 and 30 will include music and dance by Pwodiksyon
Lakou and performances by Ayizan Kreyol, Djaka Ginen and Emperor Aboudja
and Sanba Zao from Haiti. There also will be traditional Caribbean
foods, arts and crafts, decorative objects, fruits and vegetables, baked
goods and other cultural merchandise. Admission to the festival is free.
