8216: ECO-TOURISM EXHIBITION ON THE SOUTH OF HAITI 6th June (fwd)

There is an Eco-Tourism exhibition being held this week until and including
Sunday June 10th at the Maison de Tourism on the corner of Rue Capois and
Rue Magny. For those who don't know, this is on the corner of Champ de Mars.
It is open from 10am until 10pm each day and the entrance is free.

They are exhibiting amongst other things:

Beautifully sculpture wooden items such as  coffee tables, chairs and a bed
frame. Jewellery, paintings, metal sculptures, tee shirts, Haitian cuisine,
james, wine made from Corn and Cacao, tablecloths with appliqués and many
other things.

The sculpture wood alone is worth seeing.

Go and see a wonderful example of the creativity of the Haitian people.

This assn. is part of Destination Djondjon which is a group of local tourism
projects all over Haiti.
