President Aristide cannot, should not and would never be permitted by the
Haitian people to extend his mandate. And I dare speculate that he is way too
smart to even think about this, as if it were a possibility.
Someone pointed out the fact that:
«an ammendment only becomes official after the installation of the next elected
president. in no way may a sitting president benefit from an ammendment passed
during his term. »
Bingo!
This is precisely why some reasonable people cannot understand the pathological
determination displayed by the anti-Aristide (national and international) gang
that is so hell-bent on unseating the man before he finishes his mandate.
Is December 2005 so far away that another CIA coup is really the «cleanest
solution» the laboratory can imagine? - as admitted to the Washington Post and
published in article of February 2, 2001 (5 days before Aristide's swaring in)
.
Folks! (CIA, IRI et al.) why don't you take a break and simply let Haiti
breathe !
