I am very amused once again to find out that my suggestion is used in a
derogatory way. I actually did not suggest that certain ideas, suggestions,
and/or facts should be belittled or minimized. I actually in fact suggesting
that the bar of this listserver should be raised to an academic level given
that most of we are reading sounds like tabloid type of the Haitian
problems.
If we continue at that level, we will not be producing, and we will continue
to pile what is undesirable for the brain, therefore killing it farther. We
have a scarcity of good stuff in our current government, our nation;
shouldn't it be better to raise the bar to produce the good stuff as an
elite, so something could be copied from to the betterment of our own
kind...

Edy, I'll let you have the last word on that one.  But now we must get
back to the issues:  which have to do with Haiti, not about how list
members should behave.  That's just not the issue here, so I'm going to
let the issue drop.
