If it is the case, why such an important office is one of the best kept
secrets in Haiti?
Comments:
Most musicians, artists, mimes, writers etc. have no idea about the
existence of said
office. Most folks you talk to have no clue about Aristide having
passed the law
reintegrating Haiti to the Berne Convention. As a musician and writer,
to me this is of the utmost importance. We are also talking about the
patrimony of this culturally rich country.
By the way, I know a couple of US based lawyers who had drawn a whole
mechanic plan on how such an office should function. I believe it was
sent to Haiti 1996 (under Preval) and I am certain it was ignored.
