Abduction of two KID’s members by the National Haitian Police
Port-au-Prince, October 16, 2002 The KID gets worried for two of his members
abducted by the NHP. The Party Konvansyon Inite Demokratik (KID) hastens to
inform the national and international public opinion of the brutal arrest
and without mandate of two of his members, David BARJON and Mondésir Jean
LATOUCHE by a commando of the NHP, from Delmas 4, this Monday October 14th,
around 2 p.m. Among the policemen who operated the abduction, the residents
of the neighborhood clearly identified Maxim, a member of the old Haitian
Army that quartered at the aviation camp. The residents also identified the
vehicle used in the abduction. It is a PICK UP doubles cabin, white, license
plate #2128 West Police.
The KID gets worried because David BARJON and Mondésir LATOUCHE parents
could not get from the police any information concerning their place of
detention.
The KID denounces these practices of political repression by the lavalas
regime and asks for the immediate release, without condition, of David
BARJON and Mondésir LATOUCHE.
