14134: Pierre Jean: Re: 14133: Lyall on local news (fwd)
From: Pierre Jean <pierrejean01@yahoo.com>
Of course, Dany Toussaint always seems to run his
mouth off at the most interesting times. The reality
regarding the reduction in the number of bodygaurds
assigned to him is simpler than that.
Due to the high level of attrition in the PNH, the
police top brass has decided to pull from so-called
VIPs a number of police officers that had been
assigned to their personal safety. These policemen
will be reassigned to general public safety tasks.
Among the VIPS who have lost some policemen affected
to their safety: the head of the police himself, Nesly
Lucien, the Secretary of Justice, Jean-Gerard
Dubreuil, Dany Toussaint, other senators, etc.
So there is no vast conspiracy here as many have
suggested. And on another note, contrary to what Dany
Toussaint had been saying all along, he was notified a
week before the alleged assassination attempt on his
person, that he would lose some of the policemen
assigned to him. So for him to claim that he was not
aware of it until the last minute is disingenuous.
Please refer to this past week's interview of Nesly
Lucien on Radio Metropole for details. The information
also appeared in Le Nouvelliste.
