I always bother any Haitian who is unfortunate enough to accompany me on a
walk through the countryside by asking the name of every growing thing we
pass.  I did indeed stand under a very large Pye Sabliye and was told of
it's magical powers of remembering (or was it forgetting?).  I think you
have to know the special way of asking for the magic.
