14535: Burnham posts re: Du Tuyau's NCHR and VS underwear... (fwd)
From: thor burnham <thorald_mb@hotmail.com>
Burnham posting from Port-au-Prince:
(1) Du Tuyau states:
"All people know HDP no like Lavalas, no like Aristide. That no problem it
is no problem. But after me post this yesterday, I go restaurant salad make.
Then today, I tired a little. I come on HDP Haiti Policy and in the
suddenness of suddenlity, I see NCHR no more on top HDP of their HDP
website. I see NCHR linking links, all way bottom on the bottom. Why?
Because HDP et NCHR here on Corbett list and know people now read the lies."
Ahem. Could you please give me specific examples of the "lies" that NCHR is
publishing? I've just spent thirty minutes on their website looking for the
smoking gun with no success. And, incidentally, if you click on the NCHR
link at the bottom of the page it gives you the NCHR articles listed on a
separate HDP page. In otherwords, it gives you the option to go to the NCHR
homepage or to go a HDP page that lists only NCHR articles. So where's the
conspiracy? Are you back to your UFO's and dead bodies defence?
(2) Du Tuyau states:
"NCHR no ever say I sorry for manti-lie. Every time, people tell truth that
they lie, they accuse: they say people pay by gouvernement. So who pay them
for big staff, them NCHR?"
What lies Du Tuyau? Which ones specifically? Who's telling the lies? Which
members of the NCHR staff? Is it just the Chairman, or everyone on the
board? Here's the board membership that i took directly off the website.
Please tell me which one(s) is making the big lies...
Board of Directors
As of November 1999, NCHR is led by a 13-member Board of Directors (out of a
maximum of 21) who are, in alphabetical order:
Eddy Bayardelle, Ph.D., Chairman, NCHR
Joseph P. Carraha, Spektrum of NY, Inc.
Muzaffar Chishti, Esq., Director of the Immigration Project of the Union of
Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees (UNITE). Secretary-Treasurer,
NCHR.
Jonathan Demme, Academy Award Winning Filmmaker. Founder of Artists for
Democracy in Haiti and Guantánamo Watch. Please see this filmography on
Jonathan Demme for more information
Josh DeWind, Ph.D., Director of the Social Science Research Council
International Migration Program.
Ira Gollobin, Esq., Immigration attorney.
Mark Handelman, Executive Vice President, New York Association for New
Americans.
Cheryl Little, Esq., Executive Director, Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center.
Rev. Guy Sansaricq, Director, the Haitian Apostolate.
Edward Saxon Academy Award Winning Film Producer. Founder of Artists for
Democracy in Haiti and Guantánamo Watch. For more information on Mr. Saxon,
please see this filmography on Ed Saxon
Edith Tiger
Robert Varenik, Lawyers Committee for Human Rights
Monsignor Thomas Wenski, Chair, Pierre Toussaint Catholic Center and
Director, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Wow, that reads a lot like the group of 184, doesn't it?
(3) Du Tuyau states:
"Finalmente Mister Burnham, Aristide is president for 5 years. Many people
por ejemplo no like Chirac in France, or Blair in country England, or Mister
Nu-ki-leur (nuclear) in United States Great States. But they no ask them for
them to go. You no hear all institutions independent-supposed, encourage for
demission resignation. That no good they know all people like that know. So
why you want that Haiti for Aristide go? Because you no like his head shape,
fóm tèt li? Why you no say everybody go election soon?"
Du Tuyau, elected leaders are often called on to resign for various
missteps and misdeeds. Bill Clinton wouldn't resign, so they almost
impeached him. If i'm not mistaken, the President of Argentina resigned when
he was percieved as the problem. As we speak, the Premier of the province of
British Columbia, in Canada, is under pressure to resign because he got
caught by the police in Hawaii driving while very drunk. He got elected in a
massive landslide, too. But he made a mistake by smiling during his
mugshots. Oh, and people in Canada have been wanting Jean Chretien to retire
for years, myself included. And if i'm not mistaken Senor Chavez has said he
will go to a referendum and ask the people of Venezuela if they still
support him. If not, he says, shockingly, that he will resign. As for Mr.
Nuclear, he wasn't actually elected, but was, rather, appointed by the
supreme court, so it's a different discussion altoghther.
Please understand, demanding a leader to resign is usually based on the
perception that the leader has lost his/her legitimacy, a legitimacy won in
elections but lost through malfeasance, corruption, abuse of power and
non-democractic rule, for example, and sometimes for less.
Some of the poeple demanding the resignation of the King of Tabarre helped
to get him elected, fought for him to be returned after he was ousted in the
coup, and would have died for him before he came back.
The list of 184 is instructive, mister Du Tuyau. Some of the very people
that gave his Highness the legitimacy to govern are the ones who are asking
for him to resign. Why is that the case?
(4) Du Tuyau States:
"You a little jalouzi-jealous, my friend Corbettian Mister Burnham? Ah she
nice."
How could i be jealous for your good fortune, my friend? And a good fortune
that wears victoria secret? No jalouzi-jealour zami...ok, maybe just a ti
krass.....enjoy.
best,
Thor Burnham
