Dorvilus wrote a very provocative post.  There is also another recent
film on restaveks (even though this has been mentioned on the list
before), Karen Kramer's film Children of Shadows.  She showed it two
weeks ago in Haiti, and many individuals and groups who are working with
the restaveks came to the screenings (as well as the general public).
One of the attendees was the current mayor of PAP who, interestingly,
had previously made another restavek film called Anita.   In all, Karen
held four different screenings  and there were also several television
showings. The discussions after the live screenings were very productive
and have led a lot of people to start talking about this issue.  Let's
hope all these fine films and subsequent activity will result in
meaningful action.
