15048: MariLinc: The Status of Haitian Creole in French-speaking Canada (fwd)
From: MariLinc@aol.com
Corbetters,
I've just received a "heads up" that CBC Radio will be broadcasting a special
report on the Status of Haitian Creole in French-speaking Canada on Friday,
March 14 at 11:30 AM across Canada on CBC radio one.
It will also be broadcast and archived on the Internet at:
http://cbc.ca/cestlavie/
Here are additional details:
- Program: C'est La Vie, a weekly half-hour program in English about life in
French-speaking Canada
- Participants: Pierre-Roland Bain of KEPKAA
(http://hometown.aol.com/mit2kreyol/Index5-eng.html), formerly KIPKAA; Luck
Mervil (http://pages.globetrotter.net/ymx/mervil/flash.html); and Judith
Laventiere, a Montreal writer and journalist.
David Gutnick (david_gutnick@cbc.ca) of CBC has done the research and put the
program together.
Let's join him in celebrating Haitian Creole in Canada!
Marilyn
