Lavalas & the Opposition need to Restart the
Negotiation

Today the Lavalas and the Opposition will attend a
meeting in DC, I invite both to return to the
negotiation table and find a compromise solution.
Election is the best way to change a government for
those who believe in democracy. Lack of trust from
both sides may make it difficult to organize an
election at this present moment. So, it is imperative
to put in place a coalition government.

I urge the Haitian leaders to negotiate with an open
mind and do whatever they can to resolve this crisis
before May 18. I believe they can.  You have seen many
miracles lately and yesterday, the Police had found
Elizabeth Smart alive. Miracle exits my friends.

I strongly believe the current Haitian leaders will
put aside their personal interest and see the country
first.
Give them a chance, well after three years of
negotiation, what other option do you have?
Convergence, Lavalas and the Opposition, you are the
leaders of this impoverished country; the people of
Haiti would like to see a compromise among you.

Remember May 18, 1803; we are all divided now even an
unborn child can feel it.
Forget about yesterday, I ask each of you today to
take decisive step to reach a political compromise.
All of you must be part of the new Haiti, no one will
go anywhere, and it is your country. Just fix it.

Each of you shall form a team, remove the extremist,
bring the moderate, and restart the negotiation.  We
are waiting for that moment. We can jump start the
country, we can bring back the same spirit all
Haitians had when Duvalier left the country.

Please don’t call anyone criminal, makoute, drug
dealer, don’t use these types of language, stay away
from any confrontation.

Again my fellow Haitians back home, we are waiting for
that moment.

May all of you have the strength and the courage to do
the right thing?
