From: InterVision2000 <info@intervision2000.com>
Boca Raton, Tuesday, January 13, 2004
Petition to
The Catholic and Apostolic Church
All Christian and Reformed Churches
The United Nations
The Organization of the American States
Amnesty International
All Justice and Peace and Humanitarian Associations
Mister Jacques Chirac, President of the Republic of France
Mister Jean Chrétien, Prime Minister of Canada
Mister George W. Bush, President of the United States of America
All other countries agreeable to the Haitian People
I, Maud Lapomarede Cassagnol, national of the Republic of Haiti, living in
the United States of America, state of Florida, and alarmed by the decline
and socio politico economic downfall of my country under the presidency of
Mister Aristide, brought to power by the Haitian People who saw in him a
leader able to accompany the nation in the pursuit of its democratic dreams
and direct it in the journey to progress with the rest of the world;
Profoundly saddened and scandalized by the multiple and outrageous instances
of men slaughter, kidnappings, rapes, and other violations of human rights
under the government of Mr. Aristide in total impunity; “the number of
people killed, severely
wounded and reported missing keeps growing daily. All peaceful
demonstrations exercised against this regime of terror to denounce its acts
of repression, are brutally reprimanded through beatings, stoning,
dispersion using tear gas and with the use of weapons.” (press note from
group of 184)
Having witnessed that after 3 years, the government of Mr. Aristide has no
program of development in course for the promotion of Haiti, that the
Haitian people faces extremely poor and degrading living conditions whereas
Mr. Aristide is paying huge sums of money to foreign guards to ensure his
personal security thus becoming too expensive a president for Haiti; and
that Mr. Aristide has rejected any possibility of negotiation with the
opposition when it was still time; and that Mr. Aristide has gone too far in
violence and has exhausted any possibility of gaining back the trust of the
population; that the Haitian people living in Haiti as well as those living
abroad have expressed and manifested against that bloody, totalitarian,
dictatorial and repressive government; and that Mr. Aristide is determined
to stay on power should he be the last survivor of this conflict;
As a national of Haiti entitled to full civil and political rights, I
declare Mr. Aristide a traitor and guilty of perjury against the oath he has
sworn before taking function: to observe and respect the Constitution of
Haiti, to respect the rights of the Haitian people, to labor toward the
promotion and magnitude of Haiti, to maintain the national independence and
the integrity of the territory.
In the name of God, and for the sake of Honor and Morality, I beg the
assistance of the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, the Reformed Church,
the United Nations, the Organization of American States, Amnesty
International, and all other humanitarian organizations protecting Human
Rights and promoting Social Justice and Social Peace, the government of the
United States, the government of Canada and of France, and all the other
governments of countries agreeable to Haiti, to please help the Haitian
People execute his threefold plan: pronounce Mr. Aristide inapt to govern a
country victimized by his government, impeach and bring him to court to be
judged for his crimes against the Haitian people and against Haiti; while
the government of the country will be trusted until the term of the actual
mandate to the Supreme Court of Appeal Judge, in respect to the
Constitution, and thirdly to call to setting a multipartite committee
representative of all sectors of Haiti to prepare the elections of November
2005.
In the name of God and for the sake of Morals, I urge all authorities in the
world to put into action the “Good Samaritan Law” and assist the Haitian
people in danger.
Respectfully Saluting the Good Samaritan in you,
Maud Lapomarede Cassagnol
National of the Republic of Haiti
